
Growing up, I’ve been an athlete my whole life by playing softball from high school, college, and travel teams. I never thought of ever getting older and worrying about doing anything else to stay active and to stay in shape. Low and behold, reality set in, and I became older and ceased playing softball, and started looking for an alternative way to stay in shape.
During the journey and extra responsibilities, I gained weight, became pre-diabetic, started overeating, enrolled in gyms that I didn’t commit to, and couldn’t find a cardio workout that truly suited me—until I found Shape Up Kickboxing!
This workout was not only a great all-around workout, but it was and still is very therapeutic for me due to the lost of my parents. What a way to release tension by punching and kicking on the punching bag! Not only did I reverse from being a pre-diabetic, but I lost close to 30lbs from committing to kickboxing 3 days a week.
Under the instruction of Cody Foor and PJ Moore, I have learned so much from kickboxing like techniques, balance, strengthening, and how to motivate others to keep pushing, while loving this cardio workout.
Not only have I enjoyed the workout, but it has also led me to become the owner of Shape Up Kickboxing of Loganville.
