Four years before I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy (my second one!), I had gestational during pregnancy. I was on insulin. After my delivery and with so many other impacts, I was not able breast feed my baby. I was helpless and started blaming myself. That’s where it all started. I was helpless, started to overdo things, ended up with depression, had sleepless nights, and somehow managed work, family, and extended family.
With pain both mentally and physically from all that stress, I ended up with symptoms like increased heart rate for no reason, even if I walked a few steps, and high blood pressure, having rushed to the emergency room several times. My husband was shattered to see me like that. He reached out to many friends for help, and nothing changed. Later, doctors diagnosed me with POTS, and prescribed me meds for 6 months.
In February 2023, I joined Shape Up Kickboxing Cumming, and met Instructor RJ! Each class was medicine to me. The whole team encouraged me so much I did not miss any classes. As they encouraged me with a whole lot of positive vibes, my consistency improved. My stamina, posture, and confidence towards life have tremendously changed. I don’t have sleepless nights anymore— I sleep like a baby!
I am a HAPPY and STRONG mom. Depression never came back. After 6 months, my doctors had stopped ALL my meds! My heart beat is very normal and my blood pressure was never raised again.
Shape Up Kickboxing, Instructor RJ, and the entire team have changed my life. I feel how blissful my life is now. I cannot stop thanking them. I have personally felt how they care about each one of us during our conditioning and bag rounds. Love the place and team, and I will keep loving and thanking the whole team!
