Tips for Your First Kickboxing Class in Johns Creek GA

Don’t come on an empty stomach

Before a Shape Up Kickboxing Workout, be sure to eat something. It could be a light meal or snack! By fueling up on healthy, nutritional foods, it provides our muscles energy to perform at their peak and increases fat burn. Everyone is different, so use good judgment in timing and the appropriate food amount. Eating 30 minutes to an hour before class is a good rule of thumb!

HIIT & Interval Training

Tackle every part of the Kickboxing workouts like you mean it! Everything we do in class is to strengthen our bodies! A key element to fitness kickboxing is that it includes HIIT and Interval Training! When we alternate between periods of high intensity and low intensity, we burn the same number of calories in half the time as you would with steady state exercise (such as being at the gym for an hour on the machines).
